Abel Tesfaye presents the emotional cover of his new album on the same day of his exclusive show.
The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, has shown the stunning cover of his upcoming album Hurry Up Tomorrow on social media, the final chapter in the trilogy that began with After Hours in 2020 and continued with Dawn FM in 2022.
The cover of this album features a close-up of Abel Tesfaye, standing out for its simplicity. The focus is on his eyes, which convey a deep intensity, illuminated in a way that captures the viewer’s attention. With an expression that seems to contain tears, Tesfaye wears a classic black T-shirt, with only the straps visible, as he leans forward in a dark environment. The portrait evokes a strong emotional charge.
The official release date of the album has not yet been announced but we will keep an eye out for confirmation as soon as possible.
The album was announced on September 4 through a visual teaser and a press release that places it as “the climax of the project, being the third and final chapter, with existential and self-referential themes, as shown by the most recent teasers that have caused great anticipation among fans”.
The cover was posted on the artist’s Instagram account on September 7, the same day of the long-awaited livestream of The Weeknd’s concert in São Paulo, which is now available in its entirety on Youtube.
Tesfaye composed the centerpiece song for his upcoming album in São Paulo nearly a year ago, during his After Hours Til Dawn Tour, when he visited the city in October for two shows at the Allianz Parque, Billboard Brazil reported.
