The Irish alternative rock band led by Elijah Hewson announces two concerts in the peninsula. The authors of ‘ My Honest Face ‘ will come to present us their second and new album Cuts & Bruises (Polydor Records, 2023) released two weeks ago. On Friday October 27th they will perform at the Apolo in Barcelona and on Saturday October 28th at La Paqui in Madrid.
The quartet made up of Josh Jenkinson (guitar), Robert Keating (bass and vocals) and Ryan McMahon (drums) will perform the songs included in their recent LP, a work produced by Antony Green (Robbie Williams, Brian Eno, The Stones Roses), who brings his particular style to compositions full of nuances and catchy melodies.
After a long period of touring, they began creating their second album around Christmas time two years ago at their Dublin rehearsal space, The Nunnery, with all four members composing and rehearsing a handful of new songs. In Hewson’s words, “the theme of the songs is still about growing up, the typical stuff you write when you’re a teenager,” adding that “they also deal a bit more with what it’s like to be in a band, dealing less with the world around us and more with what’s going on inside the band.”
