Galician pianist and composer Elsa Muñiz launches New Beginnings, a book-disc with which she opens a new vital and artistic stage, marked by introspection, courage and authenticity. This work, as musical as it is literary, delves into her innovative concept of ‘pianotelling’, a way of narrating with the piano that transforms instrumental music into an emotional experience.
A work that invites you to stop and feel
In a world saturated with immediacy, New Beginnings proposes to stop and listen with the heart. The project is composed of nine instrumental pieces, accompanied by micro-stories and calligrams, which weave a narrative about personal rebirth, difficult decisions and reconstruction from emotion.
The work was presented with an emotional video clip of the central piece, recorded in front of the sea on a beach in Boiro (A Coruña), the artist’s birthplace. In it, Elsa performs the homonymous piece on a grand piano on the sand, creating an image of deep connection with the landscape and with her roots.

A story told from an intimate point of view
Each track on New Beginnings contains a story. From “Invisible Sadness”, inspired by the figure of Verónica Forqué, to “Let’s Go”, which celebrates gratitude and hope, to “Lost”, about fear in the face of vital decisions, or “Sailing the Way”, a tribute to the sea and the Camino de Santiago. He even delicately reinterprets the piece “The Cities Burn”, originally released with rapper Habló Pablo, now in a solo piano version.
