Fito Páez starts his “Páez Tecknicolor” tour in Spain with a journey through his 40-year career

Fito Paez, one of the fundamental pillars of rock in Spanish, returns to Spain with his new tour “Paez Tecknicolor”, a celebration of more than four decades of music, hymns and emotions. The tour will kick off on July 5 at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, and will tour several cities in the country, in what promises to be an unforgettable experience for all generations of fans.

The tour will include dates in Madrid (July 8, Movistar Arena), Valencia (July 10, Marina Norte), Girona (July 12, Cap Roig Festival) and Marbella (July 14, Starlite Festival). Tickets are available at mitaquilla.com and usual points of sale.

A show to sing, remember and discover

The Paez Tecknicolor tour combines the review of great classics –“Mariposa Tecknicolor”, “El amor después del amor”, “A rodar mi vida”, “Tumbas de gloria”– with new pieces from his brand new album ‘Novela’, a colossal work composed of 25 songs that intertwine as an audiovisual and emotional story.

The repertoire is presented as an authentic artistic journey through his legacy: from his beginnings in the 80s to his most inspired creative present. Fito is shown as the sound alchemist who has been able to reinvent himself without losing his essence.

Novela’: Fito’s new universe

The album Novela, released in March 2025, is an ambitious work that began to take shape in 1988. Written, composed and produced by Paez himself, together with Gustavo Borner and Diego Olivero, it was recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios (London) and Sony Music 5020 (Madrid).

Featuring actress Lorena Vega as the narrator of several passages, Novela is not only an album, but a sound film that portrays life in a small town in Santa Fe and the experience of growing up amidst dreams, rebellion and love.

His singles “Cuando el circo llega al pueblo”, “Superextraño” and “Sale el Sol” have set the tone for a work with cinematic ambition and poetic charge.

A long-awaited reunion with the Spanish public

After the success of the Netflix biographical series El amor después del amor, the figure of Fito Páez has gained new momentum among young and veteran audiences. His return to the Spanish stages is a unique opportunity to experience live the reunion with an artist who has marked generations and is still very much alive.

With Páez Tecknicolor, Fito reaffirms his place in the heart of Ibero-American music and once again demonstrates why his work is, quite simply, indispensable.
