The artist from Navarra signs a luminous and therapeutic piece of pop rock with the soul of a classic.

The storm and the calm can coexist in the same song.
That is precisely what Alejo achieves in “Trafalgar”, his new single and third advance of what will be his next studio album.
A song born from the sentimental sway, where emotion is not hidden behind metaphors: it is exposed bare-chested.

With one foot in the most melodic pop and the other in the energy of organic rock, “Trafalgar” confirms that the musician from Navarre is going through one of the most brilliant creative moments of his career.

“We met by the sea…”: the pulse of a relationship

The title – “Trafalgar”- evokes the sea, but also the battle.
Alejo uses this image to navigate the currents of love, its contradictions and its vertigo.

“We are near the sea,
to the horizon we see Trafalgar.”

With this phrase, the artist turns geography into an emotional metaphor: a point of encounter and conflict, a space where desire is confused with the storm.
The theme, with a confessional tone, traces the ups and downs of a relationship that fluctuates between need and addiction to the other.

Far from falling into dramatism, Alejo chooses emotional honesty as his compass, signing a piece that is as intimate as it is universal.

Pop rock with a classic spirit

Musically, “Trafalgar” beats to the rhythm of the best auteur pop rock.
Its solid base, marked by a direct and elegant riff, is supported by drums that drive and breathe, a bass that embraces, and guitars that -like waves- rise and fall between melancholy and redemption.

The result is reminiscent of the legacy of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers or even the British pop rock of the 90s, but with a Mediterranean accent and a warmth of its own.

In the words of the producers, it is “a therapeutic and confessional song framed in a visceral pop rock”, a description that fits it like a glove.

A luxury team, Amaro Ferreiro and an impeccable production.

To shape “Trafalgar”, Alejo surrounds himself with a team that understands his musical language to the millimeter:

  • Production: Amaro Ferreiro, absolute reference of Galician alternative pop.
  • Recording and drums: Sergio M. Puga, also in charge of percussion.
  • Keyboards and bass: Gabrulo García.
  • Mixing: Gerard Giner (Blind Records, Barcelona).
  • Mastering: Ángel Medina.
  • Studios: Cruz del Sur and Planta Sónica (Vigo).
  • Art and cover: Adrián Jiménez.

The weight of the guitars and vocals is, as always, in charge of Alejo himself, who demonstrates a mature and emotional mastery in each verse.

The music video, shot in Zumaia in October 2025, is directed, photographed and edited by Adrián Giménez, with a script co-written with Alejo himself and starring Ana Núñez.
A visual piece that completes the intimate portrait of the song with images full of coastal and emotional symbolism.

On the road to the third album

“Trafalgar” comes after the success of his two previous albums, La fiesta era para otros ( 2022) and Diamantes (2024), as well as the collaborative EP Diamantes en bruto.
During this 2025, Alejo has been working in Galicia on what will be his third LP, due in 2026.

The new album promises to consolidate their style: careful melodies, lyrics with poetic depth and a sound that combines introspection and muscle.
Trafalgar, the third advance of the album, is a perfect example of that balance.

It is the maturity of an emotional storyteller.

Alejo continues to confirm that he is much more than a brilliant composer: he is a storyteller who knows how to look inward without losing the pulse of the present.

In “Trafalgar”, the tempest of love becomes art.
It is a song that does not seek to please: it seeks to heal.
And in times of noise, that is already a form of courage.
