British artist YUNGBLUD has announced the release of his fourth studio album, Idols, scheduled for June 20, 2025. This work represents the first part of an ambitious double album that explores themes of identity, self-affirmation and the influence of idols in contemporary society.
🧠 A Concept Album without Limitations
Recorded in Leeds, near his hometown of Doncaster, Idols consists of 12 tracks that reflect YUNGBLUD’s artistic evolution. The album was produced by Matt Schwartz, Bob Bradley and guitarist Adam Warrington, regular collaborators of the artist. In the words of YUNGBLUD:
“I wanted to create a project that didn’t focus on singles or anything else but feeling and world building…. A project without limitations.
The album addresses the theme of idolatry and how people seek identity in others before finding themselves. YUNGBLUD describes this work as a “love letter to life in all its fucking madness”.
🎶 First Samples: “Hello Heaven, Hello” and “Lovesick Lullaby”.
As a preview, YUNGBLUD has released two singles:
- “Hello Heaven, Hello”: a nine-minute mini rock opera that marks the beginning of the album.
- “Lovesick Lullaby”: A more concise track with Britpop influences, where the artist expresses intense emotions and contradictions of love.
🌍 Idols World Tour: A Global Tour
To promote Idols, YUNGBLUD will embark on a world tour starting August 23rd in Los Angeles and will tour several cities in North America and Europe.
