The Rolling Stones launch their first fragrance “RS No. 9”.

An olfactory tribute to its beginnings in London

Legendary rock band The Rolling Stones has put a new spin on its legacy with the launch of its first fragrance, RS No. 9 Eau De Parfum. This unisex perfume, limited to just 999 bottles, arrives just in time for the holiday season, offering fans a unique way to connect with the spirit of the band.

A journey to its roots

RS No. 9 pays tribute to the band’s beginnings in London’s Soho in 1962, evoking their first concert at the legendary Marquee Club. According to the official description on the band’s website, a single spray transports the user back to that vibrant era of freedom and opportunity, reliving the moment when Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood began their journey to musical immortality.

Fragrance notes

The perfume combines a sophisticated and seductive blend of notes such as:

  • Exit: Bergamot, Lemon and a touch of Bourbon.
  • Heart: Warm leather and electric musk.
  • Base notes: Patchouli, Oud and Labdanum, with an earthy and sophisticated air.

The description claims that this combination encapsulates the essence of the band’s rebelliousness and unique style, with a balance between their wild side and timeless elegance.

Exclusive edition

The 999 100 ml bottles are individually numbered and sold exclusively at the Rolling Stones store in Carnaby Street, London, or through their online store for customers in the UK, priced at £99.

The art behind the aroma

Perfumer Catherine Selig described the project as a dream come true:
“I wanted to capture the timelessness of The Rolling Stones: their inimitable style, their rebellious spirit and the sense of freedom their music continues to inspire. Each note represents a facet of their legacy, from their soulful melodies to their unpredictability on stage.”

Ken Rushton, COO of Nirvana Brands, added:
“The Rolling Stones are ubiquitous in popular culture, and their influence on personal style is everywhere. Bottling the essence of the band in a unique and bold fragrance has been an incredible journey, and there is much more to come.”

A reinvented legacy

With this launch, The Rolling Stones continue to prove that their influence goes far beyond music, offering fans a whole new way to connect with their legacy. RS No. 9 is not just a perfume, it is an olfactory tribute to one of the most iconic bands in history.

The Rolling Stones have also just released a live album “Welcome to Shepherd’s Bush“an album of the surprise concert that took place on June 8 of that year and was held in a venue with a capacity of only 1,800 people. This is a rather modest figure compared to the large stadiums that their majesties usually fill.
