After almost two decades without original material, The Lemonheads – led by their charismatic frontman Evan Dando – announce their long-awaited return with Love Chant, their first unreleased album since 2006. The band has shared the first preview, “In the Margin”, a song full of energy and nostalgia that kicks off a new era for the legendary band.
🎧 A return with luxury friends
For this long-awaited return, Dando and his band have assembled an impressive list of collaborators that includes J Mascis, Juliana Hatfield, Bryce Goggin, Erin Rae, John Strohm (of Blake Babies) and Nick Saloman (of Bevis Frond), among others. In addition, they have had the participation in the composition of Adam Green and Tom Morgan, and the production of Apollo Nove.
About “In the Margin”, Evan Dando says he wanted a “very riffy” song and describes its spirit as “a teenage revenge anthem”. Undoubtedly, a cover letter that takes us back to the golden days of 90’s indie rock.
🧭 World tour: Europe and North America in 2025
The band has confirmed a tour that kicks off this August in the UK and will tour Europe until the end of September, including stops in Madrid (Sala Wagon), Lisbon (LAV2), Barcelona (Apolo 2) and Valencia (Visorfest). Afterwards, they will cross the Atlantic to tour North America between November and December.

Love Chant will be released on October 24, 2025 via Fire Records and will feature eleven tracks that, according to Evan Dando, “revive the Lemonheads spirit with new airs.”
