The VAM phenomenon and when techno-house meets Gotham.
By LoffMusic
The sound universe of Sule, Juanpass and ru. continues to expand. After surprising with the first two previews of Fly’s & Free’s, the trio returns with “VAM”, a third release that confirms what we sensed from the beginning: this EP is not a simple collection of songs, but a conceptual journey where each song opens a different portal.
With “VAM”, the group enters a dark and urban territory, a hybrid of minimal techno-house with hip-hop DNA that feels like walking through the most tense alleys of Gotham. It’s not a formal exercise or a gratuitous change of style; it’s a bet on the sonic narrative.
A stereo comic universe
From the first seconds, “VAM” proposes a clear scene:
Batman facing two vampires, in a combat that takes place to the rhythm of lights, shadows and electronic breaths.
Layers of synthesizers work like neon in an eternally nocturnal city.
Rhythmic beats are footsteps on wet asphalt.
Samples and vocals appear and disappear like moving vignettes.
It is music thought visually, almost cinematographic, where each element is placed to evoke a story without the need for words.
Tight minimalism, cool aesthetics, full impact
Sule, Juanpass and ru. build the theme from contention:
- dry and surgical percussion,
- tense basses,
- almost spectral melodies,
- a hip-hop groove that gives body to the narrative,
- and a sound design polished to the last detail.
The result is a track that breathes danger, mystery and precision.
It is techno-house, yes, but with a much broader artistic direction:
a laboratory where the beat is a vehicle to tell stories.
Fly’s & Free’s: an EP that flies between worlds
Far from repeating themselves, the trio is building an EP that works as a musical multiverse.
Each track is a gateway to a different aesthetic, but they all share a common hallmark:
creative restlessness, genre-opening and narrative ambition.
“VAM” fits into this framework as the darker, more urban, more visual piece.
A track that proves that Sule, Juanpass and ru. are not following trends:
are creating a language of their own.
How does the fight between Batman and the vampires end?
We will not disclose it here.
The answer lies in the mix itself, in the final build-up, in that crescendo that works as the climax of a sound comic.
There is only one way to find out:
put on your headphones, close your eyes and listen to “VAM”.
