At the end of January, as the calendar moves towards Shinova’s “December”, the band announces that this cycle will culminate in spectacular fashion on “Abendua” (December in Basque). This play on words is no coincidence, as the band continues to demonstrate their connection to their roots and their evolution in the music scene.
After a year of remarkable achievements, including two consecutive sold-out concerts at the BEC in Barakaldo that brought together more than 45,000 people, Shinova shows no signs of slowing down. The success in Euskadi was just the prelude to what will be an unforgettable year for the band.
One of the most emotional moments of the last year was the loss of Iñigo Etxezarreta, a great friend and leading figure in the music of Euskal Herria and leader of ETS (En Tol Sarmiento). This loss has imbued Shinova’s music with a special meaning, making each performance take on a new meaning.
The success of their track “Abendua”, released in early 2025, has been overwhelming, becoming an anthem that connects deeply with their audience. The song has been praised for its emotional honesty and the intensity of its message, consolidating Shinova as one of the most important bands in today’s music scene.
Shinova has collaborated with several prominent artists, including Iván Ferreiro on “Gato Azul” and TÁNXUGUEIRAS on “Movimientos”. In addition, they have added their energy in “Abendua” with El PRESENTE, bringing cultural richness and sound diversity to their repertoire.
The grand closing of the year will be the final concert at the WiZink Center in Madrid (MOVISTAR ARENA) on Saturday, December 27, 2025. With more than 16,500 tickets available, it is expected to be an unforgettable event, a farewell that will celebrate not only a year of success, but an entire trajectory of growth and connection with their audience.
Shinova’s music continues to resonate strongly, and their last year has shown that, far from reaching the end of their road, they are at the height of their creativity and connection with their fans. There is no doubt that this concert will be one more chapter in a story that still has much to tell.
