The Gallaghers are back and not just on stage. As the world holds its breath for the impending Oasis reunion tour, the band has announced a collaboration with Amazon to launch an exclusive line of merchandise that pays homage to some of the most iconic moments of their career.
The collection kicks off with several garments commemorating Knebworth 1996, the historic concert that defined a generation and remains the high point in Britpop live history. Among the first releases are officially designed T-shirts, sweatshirts and long sleeves.
“It’s a gift to the fans and a way to celebrate the history of Oasis as we prepare for the future, if only for one last time,” they say from around the band.
Merch, nostalgia and visual reissues
The official Oasis store on Amazon will be updated over the next six months, with garments celebrating milestones such as:
- The 2006 North American tour
- 1997 Wembley dates
- Designs inspired by the albums Be Here Now and Heathen Chemistry
With a neat graphic design, the new products target both long-time fans and new generations who are discovering the Oasis phenomenon thanks to the ongoing British revival.
What about new music?
Although Noel Gallagher’s entourage and manager Alec McKinlay insist that there will be no new material, Liam does not seem to be in complete agreement. When asked in networks, he responded with his usual style: direct, ambiguous and provocative.
“The only people who will decide on the future of OASIS will be ME and RKID,” he wrote on X (Twitter).
Meanwhile, rehearsals have been confirmed with Noel, Bonehead, Archer and Mikey Rowe (ex Oasis and High Flying Birds), although still without Liam’s physical presence in the studio.
