It’s another big year for women at the Grammys! Beyoncé leads the list with a record number of nominations.
Nominations for the 67th annual Grammy Awards are now available, and Beyoncé leads the way with 11 nominations. She has now become the most nominated artist of all time, with a total of 99 career nominations. The Beatles, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift are competing against her for Record of the Year.
The official Grammy YouTube channel live-streamed the announcement yesterday (Nov. 8), which you can watch below. Winners will be announced at the 68th Grammy Awards ceremony on February 2, 2025 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
Both Roan and Carpenter have been nominated for Best New Artist, meaning they are in the four overall categories open to recording artists of all genres. Should either artist win that category, as well as Record, Song and Album of the Year, they would become the first to do so since Eilish’s historic achievement in 2020.
This follows last year’s dominance of women in music, and similarly, this year’s nominations have so far seen female artists claiming six of the eight nominations for both Album of the Year and Record of the Year.
