Cantares de Arcilla, the second album by Kike M, continues to leave its mark on the new Urban Root Rock scene. With the production of the unmistakable Iñaki “Uoho” Antón (Platero y Tú, Extremoduro, Fito & Fitipaldis), the album has given us moments of authentic electric poetry. Now, Kike M joins forces with the always inspiring Jairo Zavala (Depedro) to offer us “Cigüeñas”, a piece that encapsulates the nomadic soul and the roots of his origins.

From the first chords, “Cigüeñas” transports the listener to a deep Salamanca, of reddish fields and wandering storks. The instrumentation is reminiscent of the best Fito Cabrales, with arpeggios that are also from the school of Cánovas, Rodrigo, Adolfo and Guzmán. It all leads to a powerful chorus, a hymn to Rock con Raíces that, without fanfare, demonstrates that authenticity needs no artifice.

The Cantares de Arcilla tour will take him all over Spain, with stops in cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Salamanca, Valladolid and Burgos, among many others. One of the most anticipated moments will be their performance at the Teatro Bosque de Móstoles, within a solidarity gala, and their awaited presentation in Salamanca together with the Joven Orquesta Sinfónica de la Ciudad, in a meeting that promises to be a unique fusion between rock and symphonic music.
