Launch Date: September 17
The J. TEIXI BAND surprises us again with their new album, which will be released on September 17th. This special work is distinguished by a journey through the instrumentals that have marked his career, complemented by three unreleased tracks: “La mula”, “Sintonía nº2” and “En el Club 66”.
The Magic of Instrumentals in Concerts and Discs
It is common for J. TEIXI BAND concerts and albums to begin with a powerful instrumental. These New Orleans-style songs immerse the audience in a unique atmosphere, preparing them for an unforgettable musical experience. Javier Teixidor explains: “It was all born when many people started asking us for instrumentals at concerts or telling us about the ones they liked, and we thought it was a good idea to have them all together available to everyone, incorporating three new songs”.
The new album promises to be a vibrant display of the band’s signature Soul, Blues and Rhythm & Blues. With ten masterful tracks, this work highlights the intensity, versatility and quality of the legendary quartet from Madrid. Teixi comments: “We have always liked to open our albums with a good instrumental. It’s a way of welcoming friends at your doorstep, where you always offer them the best to make them feel good”.
First Single: “La mula”.
The first single, “The Mule”, is an adaptation ofCliff Nobles & Co.’s 1968 classic “The Horse”, popularized 12 years later by the Dexy Midnight Runners. This version is a true demonstration of the band’s power and charisma.
“We really enjoy composing and adapting these instrumentals. They give us a very special energy and put us where the band has always wanted to be, searching for the roots of black music,” says Teixi enthusiastically.
“Diez de Diez” is a treat for fans who enjoy starting a session with a good instrumental. This genre not only allows the band to show their influences, but also their musical intentions.
J. TEIXI BAND’s new album is a celebration of the instrumental music that has accompanied the band throughout their career. With its release on September 17, fans can expect a musical experience rich in history, energy and authenticity. Don’t miss it!
