Ginebras, the band from Madrid, makes a very good version of one of the most emblematic hymns of Spanish music: “Hoy Puede Ser un Gran Día” by Joan Manuel Serrat.
Ginebras’ version, rockier and with pop choruses, maintains the optimistic message of the original song, but with a fast-paced rhythm that makes it even more danceable and contagious.
The reinterpretation arose from an invitation from director Nacho G. Velilla for Ginebras to be part of the original soundtrack of his new film, “Menudas Piezas”, which is shaping up to be one of the biggest box office hits of the year.
Magüi, Sandra, Raquel and Juls already have experience in providing music for movies and series, and with this new version of “Hoy Puede Ser un Gran Día” they once again demonstrate their talent and their ability to connect with the audience.
“Hoy Puede Ser un Gran Día” in Ginebras version is already available on all digital platforms and promises to become a new hit for the band.
The music video for the song, directed by Nacho G. Velilla, is now available on YouTube and shows images from the film “Menudas Piezas” interspersed with scenes of Ginebras performing the song.
Ginebras are currently immersed in their Billie Max Tour, with which they are filling the best venues and festivals around the country. In the coming months, the band will continue to fill the stages with energy with their hits.
