British band Wet Leg, one of the most explosive indie rock phenomena of recent years, is back with a bang. Their new single, “Catch These Fists”, marks the first preview of their second studio album, titled ‘Moisturizer’, which will be released on July 11, 2025 via the Domino label.
After a critically acclaimed, award-winning and viral hit eponymous debut, Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers return with an approach that maintains the irreverence that launched them to stardom, but with an even sharper and more sarcastic approach.
“Catch These Fists”: sarcastic, danceable and delicious.
With thick bass, taut guitars and that typically British humor, “Catch These Fists” is a dance-punk blast with art-punk overtones that sounds like a fist-pumping party. Teasdale sings in a whisper that ends in a slight crackle, while tossing out rhetorical questions laden with irony:
“How can you catch a medicine ball? Can you catch yourself when you fall?”
The song sarcastically dismantles the figure of the nocturnal flirt and turns indifference into a weapon. And as usual with Wet Leg, behind the joke there is an acid criticism of everyday machismo, male ego and emotional posturing.
Videoclip: the DIY spirit lives on
The music video, directed by the band themselves and shot on the Isle of Wight, plays with cinematic references ranging from Ti West to Cameron Crowe, and creates visual connections to their previous hit “Wet Dream”. It is a testament to the fact that Wet Leg has not lost its taste for the absurd or its aesthetic eye for organized chaos.

Moisturizer’: Wet Leg’s second album is out now
The album ‘Moisturizer’, again produced by Dan Carey (responsible for their debut), was composed during their time in Southwold, Norfolk. With titles such as “CPR”, “Liquidize”, “Davina McCall” and “Pokemon”, all indications are that the record will continue to delve into the mix of millennial anxiety, self-parodic fun and infectious riffs that define the band.
