Thom Yorke on Radiohead: “I don’t care if they want us to come back”.

Radiohead’s iconic frontman Thom Yorke recently stated that he “really doesn’t care” if fans want the band to return. In an interview with Australian media outlet Double J, Yorke responded to speculation about Radiohead’s future by saying,“I’m not in the loop and I don’t really give a fuck.”

In the interview, Yorke acknowledged that Radiohead is not a priority for him at the moment, stating that he and the band have earned space and freedom to focus on their individual projects. He said, “No offense to anyone and err, thanks for caring. But I think we’ve earned the right to do what makes sense for us without having to explain ourselves or be accountable to anyone’s historical idea of what we should be doing.”

Meanwhile, Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood revealed last month that the band has been rehearsing together recently.

“We did some rehearsals about two months ago in London, just to play the old songs,” he shared during the conversation. “And it was really fun, we had a great time.” .

The bassist’s comments were welcomed by Radiohead fans, after his brother, guitarist Jonny Greenwood, revealed in May that the band was busy on separate projects.

“Well, The Smile is touring, Ed [O’Brien] is doing another solo record, Colin [Greenwood] is playing bass with Nick Cave – they’ve just done five sold-out nights at the Sydney Opera House – so there’s a lot of music being made,” Greenwood told The Guardian.

He went on to say that all of his bandmates were currently busy, “but not like Radiohead.”

“We still talk all the time, we just need to make a plan and arrange a time together in advance,” the musician continued. “I’ve never been very good at that. Too busy playing in this studio.”

Meanwhile, Radiohead’s side project The Smile – comprising Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood and Sons Of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner – have released their new album ‘Cutouts’.
