The National announces new live album “Rome” and previews four tracks from the album, which will be available on December 13.

U.S. band The National has announced the release of a new live album called ‘Rome’, recorded during their June 3, 2024 concert at the Cavea del Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone in Rome, Italy. This album, to be released later this year, will be available in digital format and on a double vinyl LP, as well as a special triple vinyl edition.

‘Rome’ will include 21 songs in its digital and double vinyl version, and has been mixed by the band’s longtime collaborator Peter Katis. For die-hard fans, the special triple vinyl edition will feature five additional songs, bringing the total to 26 tracks. This exclusive edition will be available on colored vinyl through the band’s fan club, Cherry Tree. The release is scheduled for December 13, 2024.

In anticipation of the release of ‘Rome’, The National has shared an EP titled ‘NTL RM EP I’, which includes four tracks from the live album: ‘I Need My Girl’, ‘Lemonworld’, ‘The Geese of Beverly Road’ and ‘Lit Up’. These songs are now available to listen to, giving fans a taste of the emotional concert the band performed in Rome.

The live album will include a mix of band classics and more recent tracks from their albums ‘The First Two Pages Of Frankenstein’ (2023) and ‘Laugh Track’ (2023). Some of the most anticipated songs on the album are:
