Weller, known for years as The Modfather Weller began his musical career in the 70’s leading the group The Jam with his friends Steve Brookes and Dave Waller, a band that laid the foundations of the mod revival in English territory. After splitting up in 1982, he and Mick Talbot formed The Style Council, a group influenced by soul, jazz and funk, which disbanded in 1989.
Three years later he started his solo career with his eponymous album and nowadays he has 18 albums to his credit, the last one being Will Of The People (Universal Music, 2022), released last October. It is a carefully selected collection of more than thirty songs that were never part of their studio albums since 2002.
From the late 1970s to the present day, Weller has not stopped creating music. With a career spanning almost half a century, he continues to be one of the most representative figures of British rock, influencing different artists throughout these five decades. Next September he will bring his tour to our country to make it sound in the halls.
