Jane’s Addiction: Triumphant Return of a Legend
Jane’s Addiction is back! The band’s original lineup of Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins and Eric Avery have reunited in the studio to record “Imminent Redemption,” their first song together in 34 years.
“This time it’s different,” the band states in a press release. “To have everyone back together, releasing new music. It’s time. Welcome to the next chapter of Jane’s Addiction. ‘Imminent Redemption’ is just the beginning.”
This return to the studio comes on the heels of the announcement of the classic lineup’s first tour since 2010. The tour, which began in Europe (where “Imminent Redemption” was released), will reach North America in September. Jane’s Addiction’s last album was 2011’s “The Great Escape Artist,” but this new material marks the first release from the original lineup since 1990’s “Ritual of the Habitual.”
Pixies Announce New Album: “The Night the Zombies Came”.
The legendary alternative rock band Pixies has surprised their fans with the announcement of their new album, titled“The Night the Zombies Came”. The album will be released on October 25 on the BMG label. As a first preview, the band has shared the single “You’re So Impatient” and a new song called “Chicken”.
For the recording of this new album, Pixies have once again been produced by Tom Dalgety, who already collaborated with them on the albums “Head Carrier”, “Beneath the Eyrie” and “Doggerel”. In addition, “The Night the Zombies Came” marks the recording debut of new bassist Emma Richardson, who replaced Paz Lenchantin.
With this new release, Pixies promises to continue demonstrating their validity and ability to reinvent themselves, keeping intact their sonic essence that has made them one of the most influential bands in alternative rock.
King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard have another new Album and that’s 26 !!!!
The tireless King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard surprise again with the announcement of a new album entitled “Flight B741”. This will be the twenty-sixth studio album from the prolific Australian band and will be released on August 9 on their own record label, (P)Doom Records.
As a first preview, the sextet has shared the single “Le Risque”, which marks the vocal debut of drummer Michael Cavanagh. The music video, directed by Guy Tyzack, shows the group having fun in an airplane hangar.
“Flight B741” arrives after the two albums released by King Gizzard in 2023, “The Silver Cord” and “PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation”. This time, the band was inspired by artists such as Steve Miller Band and The Band to create freer and more intuitive songs.
Once again, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard demonstrates their inexhaustible creativity and their ability to surprise their audience with diverse and daring music.
