On June 12, 2024, the Fortnite team announced an epic collaboration with Metallica. This collaboration brings not only new music, but an entire experience full of excitement and adrenaline. Here are all the details you need to know.
Metallica Comes to Fortnite, a unique musical experience
Bells are ringing with good news. Metallica, the legendary“Rock & Roll Hall of Fame” band joins Fortnite with update 30.10. Starting June 22, you can enjoy an immersive music experience called “Metallica: Fuel. Fire. Fury.” and a festival season starting June 13.

In “Metallica: Fuel. Fire. Fury.”, players will be able to enjoy six of the band’s most iconic songs in an unparalleled musical journey. The gameplay aligns with the intensity and energy of the group, offering an experience not to be missed.

Each show will last thirty minutes and you will be able to join even if you arrive late. You can enjoy this experience with up to four players.
Fortnite Festival Season 4
Fortnite Festival Season 4, which kicks off June 13, will star James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Metallica’s Robert Trujillo. This season includes a PvP experience called “battle arena” where 16 players will compete until only one player is left.
Festival Pass
The Festival Pass offers free and premium reward routes, with exclusive costumes of Metallica members. Just for purchasing the premium pass, you will unlock Lars Ulrich’s costume.
What’s new in Battle Royale
The collaboration also brings new features to Battle Royale. The “Metal Lightning” guitars will allow you to attack your enemies from the sky. In addition, Metallica’s floating Booty Island will appear in the sky with a stage inspired by the M72 World Tour.
Metallica Missions
Complete missions to unlock exclusive items such as James’ ESP Snakebyte and Robert’s Warwick M72. These missions will be available until July 21, 2024.
Metallica Cup
The Metallica Cup will be held on June 18 and will allow players to compete for the exclusive “Metallic Bell” gesture. Players may play up to ten games during a three-hour period.
Rocket Racing and Metal Mountain
The collaboration also includes a new Rocket Racing track called “Metal Mountain,” featuring Metallica music and instrumental monuments. Complete missions to unlock rewards such as the Backfire body and Puppet Master decal.
Costumes and Store Content
Starting June 13, the costumes of the members of Metallica in their “Master of Puppets” version will be available in the store. In addition, you will be able to purchase new improvisation tracks and the Jäger 619 batch with exclusive Metallica content.
Content Creation
Content creators in the Support a Creator program will be able to monetize their videos of “Metallica: Fuel. Fire. Fury.” on YouTube for seven days. For more details, please refer to YouTube and Epic Games policies.
