The well-known Latin American Music Awards were presented on Thursday night at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada (United States) at a gala dedicated to the Latin music industry. Some of the award winners were Karol G, Bizarrap, Becky G, Bad Bunny and Shakira, in an event that featured more than 30 performances.
The big winner was Colombian artist Karol G, who won eight awards – including “Artist of the Year”, “Best Urban Genre Artist” and “Streaming Artist of the Year” – followed by Mexican-American singer and actress Becky G, who won four awards at the gala.
However, even though she was one of the most nominated artists and one of the great favorites of the Latin AMAs 2023, the one known as “la Bichota” did not go to pick up the awards, a reason that was highly commented and criticized in social networks. Another notable absentee was Puerto Rico’s Bad Bunny, who won the award for “Best Album of the Year” for his album A Summer Without You (Rimas Entertainment, 2022).
