The Asturian group fires irony and sharp guitars in a pop-rock satire about the Spain of the spotlight, envy and easy money.

After turning “Los Martes” and “Treinta monedas” into anthems of humorous rage, the Drugos return with “M. Pombo”, a song that mixes bad temper, irony and contagious riffs. Pombo”, a song that mixes bad blood, irony and contagious riffs.
The title does not deceive: this time the dart is aimed at the elite of the media postureo, that ecosystem of inherited privilege, perfect bodies and sponsored smiles that invades networks and programs.
But Drugos do not preach: they laugh, with style and distortion.
Satire, guitars and sonorous venom
From the first listen, “M. Pombo” makes it clear that the band has found its voice.
Raw guitars, punchy bass and a production that doesn’t hide the edges: a straight to the bone sound.
The song works as a deformed mirror of influencer culture, where everything is mixed between mockery and catharsis.
The chorus -sharp and catchy- condenses the spirit of Drugos: “laugh while you can, before they sell your laughter”.
A phrase that sounds like a generational slogan.
The videoclip, premiered exclusively by Ruta 66, amplifies the parodic tone with aesthetics somewhere between luxury videoclip and nightmarish reality: lights, poses and an irony that chews.
Between indie and social criticism
Drugos have long been on that fuzzy border where indie-rock intersects with political and cultural satire.
Their corrosive humor is reminiscent of the best moments of Extremoduro, Los Nikis or León Benavente, but their staging has the nerve of a generation raised on TikTok and viral memes.
In “M. Pombo”, the group not only caricatures the golden elite, but also laughs at the rest: at the collective obsession to watch, criticize and envy.
“It’s a song about imposture”, they admit in recent interviews, “but also about the pleasure of laughing at the system from the inside”.
On the road to a new album
The single anticipates Drugos’ next album, due in early 2026, which promises to consolidate their sound identity: more ambition, more sarcasm and a perfect balance between the lyrical and the electric.
The band from Gijón has become one of the most restless names of the new national rock wave, with a live performance that combines energy, humor and a real connection with the audience.

M. Pombo is not just a song: it is a rock slap in the face to the digital ego.
Drugos sign a stroke of humor and attitude that sounds honest, uncomfortable and absolutely necessary in times of filters and false truths.
Between electric riffs and social sarcasm, the Asturians confirm themselves as one of the most singular bands of the national indie scene.
And the best part: they sound more dangerous than ever.
“Make noise while you can,” they say.
We add: and never shut up.
