Jessie Ware and Romy from “The xx” join forces to release “Lift You Up”, a hopeful anthem

Glastonbury vibrated to the rhythm of a powerful union: Jessie Ware and Romy Croft (of The xx) presented their first musical collaboration, “Lift You Up”. Produced by the legendary Stuart Price (Madonna, Dua Lipa), the song marks a long-awaited meeting between two revered British artists.

The live debut at Glastonbury added an electrifying dimension to the release, further amplifying the excitement around this fresh collaboration. Romy, who previously co-wrote “Share It All” on Ware’s 2014 album “Tough Love,” expressed her excitement about reuniting musically with Jessie: “We’ve been friends for years, and working together on ‘Lift You Up’ was a fantastic experience.”

“Lift You Up” soars as a hymn to unity and positivity. In a press release, Romy described the song as a celebration of shared experiences and high spirits, a sentiment echoed by Ware, who highlighted the track’s message of self-confidence.

This collaboration comes in the midst of a wave of success for both artists. Romy’s acclaimed solo album, “Mid Air,” continues to captivate audiences, while Ware’s 2023 release, “That! Feels Good!”, remains a fan favorite.
