IvánFerreiro and Guadi Galego reinterpret a Christmas classic: “Fairy tale in Madrid”.
Galician singer Iván Ferreiro, in collaboration with Guadi Galego, has surprised audiences with a new version of the iconic carol “Fairytale of New York” by The Pogues, entitled “Fairytale in Madrid”. This adaptation, which pays homage to the original, brings with it a fresh and exciting approach, relocating the story to the Spanish capital.
The original song, written in 1987, narrates the misadventures of an Irish immigrant couple on Christmas Eve in New York. Ferreiro and Galego’s version maintains the essence of the lyrics, but transfers them to the Madrid context, adapting the references to the Spanish reality.
What makes this version even more special is the collaboration of a cast of first class artists. Accompanying Iván and Guadi we find:

- Rozalén: playing the bandurria (bandurria)
