Scotland’s Biffy Clyro have given a great joy to their fans with the news they were all waiting for: their next studio album has a date. The album, to be called “Futique”, will hit stores and digital platforms on September 26, a few days after their highly anticipated performance at Glastonbury 2025.
🕰️ A journey through time and memory
Vocalist and guitarist Simon Neil has explained that this album is “a reflection on ideas, relationships and moments that linger in time, sometimes without us even realizing it.” For the band, it is also a way of looking back and forward at the same time, taking as a starting point their own history as a band – from their first garage covers of Nirvana when they were teenagers to becoming headliners at international festivals like Reading or Download.
“Sometimes we don’t realize when is the last time we do something, and there’s beauty and melancholy there. We want people to stop and think about what their own ‘Futique’ is,” comments Neil.
🎶 First preview and collector’s edition
While the full album arrives, we have already been able to listen to “A Little Love”, the first single they have released this year. The track has debuted strongly, reaching number 1 on the UK vinyl chart, and suggests that Biffy Clyro are still as inspired as ever.
The most faithful will be able to get their hands on a special edition on recycled black vinyl, hand-numbered and wrapped in a white printed sleeve. However, it will only be on sale for the first 48 hours after the pre-sale starts, so collectors will have to be quick.

In addition to the musical work, the band wants to convey a simple but powerful message: stop, look around and appreciate the moment. As they have explained, this album invites listeners to think about all that we take for granted today and will miss someday.

With “Futique”, Biffy Clyro returns to the scene in style. After the success of “A Celebration of Endings” (2020) and “The Myth of the Happily Ever After” (2021), and after the hiatus in which Simon Neil has been involved in projects such as Empire State Bastard alongside musicians from Oceansize and Slayer, the trio returns more mature, sincere and powerful than ever.
September 26th is marked in red on the calendar. In the meantime, much remains to be discovered and the Glastonbury date promises to be just the beginning of an unforgettable year for the band and their fans.
