Eleven years after their last album, Lex Hives (Disque Hives, 2012), the Swedes announce a new work that they will come to present us next October. The quintet will be on Wednesday October 4th at Razzmatazz in Barcelona, Thursday October 5th at La Riviera in Madrid and Saturday October 7th at the Capitol in Santiago de Compostela.
The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons (Fuga, 2023), to be released on Friday, August 11, will be the Scandinavians’ sixth studio album, a work that fans of the Fagersta band have been waiting for more than a decade. And with that thunderous first teaser entitled ‘ Bogus Operandi ‘, we can say that the wait has been worth it.
In the twenty-five years since the quintet of Howlin’ Pelle Almqvist (vocals), Nicholaus Arson (guitar), Vigilante Carlstroem (guitar), The Johan And Only (bass) and Chris Dangerous (drums) exploded around the world, they have sold out shows and shared the stage with many artists, from AC/DC to The Rolling Stones.
Music media such as SPIN call The Hives “the best live band on the planet” and their vocalist “the best frontman in rock“, while the UK’s BBC dubbed the band “a force of nature“. Any adjective is an understatement in the face of these stage beasts, one of the best rock and roll bands in the world.
