DELACUEVA leads emerging pop with “Me Pareció Ver Un Lindo Gatito”, another preview of its long-awaited album.

National pop has a new anthem and it bears the signature of DELACUEVA. With a mix of attitude, sass and catchy melody, the artist from Zaragoza presents “I Seemed To See A Cute Little Kitten“the fourth advance of his long awaited first solo album.

This song encapsulates the instantaneous crush, that emotional shock that leaves you stunned and disoriented, but it does so with a sweeping rhythm and lyrics that play between humor, desire and irreverence. As usual with DELACUEVA, fantasy and ambiguity are the protagonists, bringing the story to a point where love and heartbreak, the tangible and the unattainable, the crystalline and the blurred, intertwine with a defiant and playful attitude.

A wildly irresistible hit

From the first chord, Me Pareció Ver Un Lindo Gatito engages with its intense guitars and casual air. It’s a song that screams confidence, but at the same time exposes the vulnerability generated by heartbreak.

DELACUEVA plays with irony and self-awareness, turning a story of uncontrollable attraction into a tale with unexpected references, witty phrases and a refrain you won’t be able to get out of your head:

🎶 Uoh oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh bby…. 🎶

The song is a perfect reflection of DELACUEVA‘s DNA: guitar pop, catchy melodies and an unmistakable character.

References: Looney Tunes and Art Attack

Always with one foot in pop culture, DELACUEVA weaves a nostalgic and provocative imaginary.

🐦 Looney Tunes: The title of the song is reminiscent of Tweety’s classic “I thought I saw a cute little kitten”. But where before there was a naïve canary, now there is a narrator fully aware of what he feels, looking at Silvestre and saying to himself:
📢 “And I saw you pass by and I heard myself thinking ‘Manuel, you’re really fucked up'”.

🎨 Art Attack: The wink to the mythical Disney Channel craft series is no coincidence. DELACUEVA plays with creativity and double entendre, leaving verses like:
🎤 “Mejunje Art Attack to keep the criminal arrow of fucking Cupid.”

It is not the first time that the Zaragozan draws on cultural and literary references. In his previous singles he has made nods to Digimon, Arctic Monkeys, Julio Cortázar and Woody Allen, demonstrating that his musical universe is full of diverse influences.

Jordi Cruz in the videoclip: the dream collaboration

Networks have exploded after the confirmation that Jordi Cruz, the iconic Art Attack presenter, will be part of the videoclip. Although the details are still a mystery, everything points to the fact that this collaboration will be pure nostalgia and overflowing creativity.

🎥 We will soon know more details about the video clip.

DELACUEVA: an artist with clear principles

Manuel de la Cueva (Zaragoza, 1994) has not only managed to consolidate himself as one of the most promising figures of emerging pop, but has also built his career under a clear philosophy: music is an art, not a fast consumer product.

🏆 Awards and recognitions:
Best Group 2021 at the Aragonese Music Awards
Best Album 2022 at the same awards
Representation of Spain at the Dubai Universal Expo 2022.

DELACUEVA rejects the immediacy of today’s industry and opts for a more authentic way of sharing his music. In 2024, he premiered all his unreleased songs on tour before releasing them, advocating that:

“My songs don’t deserve to be premiered on a Friday on a platform, in a competition for numbers, playlist and virality. My songs deserve to be premiered on the stages of concert halls, in a live format, in a live format.”

Now, with Me Pareció Ver Un Lindo Gatito, he strengthens his position in the Spanish pop scene and proves that his first solo album will be a coup on the table.
