Going home is never easy.<\/strong> Red Moon Yard turns nostalgia, loss and rootedness into emotional raw material in “Pucela te quiero”,<\/em> a new single released last Friday that works as an open letter to Valladolid, to the memory of the father and to everything that is no longer there… but still resonates.<\/p>\n\n

The band led by Red Moon Yard<\/strong> has just released “Pucela te quiero”, an<\/em> unreleased song that was not part of Intineri<\/em>, their recent album, and that expands their narrative universe from a deeply intimate place.<\/p>\n\n

In the words of its vocalist and composer Marcos F. Fermoselle<\/strong>, the song is born from the emotional impact of returning to Valladolid, his “city of heart”. A physical journey that quickly transforms into a mental journey through memories: the figure of his father, Real Valladolid, the business of yesteryear, relationships and affections that marked a vital stage. <\/p>\n\n

“When I go back, all the echoes come back to me. Then I discover that what my mind had constructed no longer exists. They are just echoes. My father is gone,” Fermoselle explains.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

Far from falling into paralyzing melancholy, “Pucela te quiero”<\/em> finds its light in the present: the affection of the people, friends, family and an intact emotional identification with the city’s soccer club. A song that understands memory not as an anchor, but as a bond. <\/p>\n\n

An off-disc piece, but key to its story.<\/h3>\n\n

Although not included in Intineri<\/em>, “Pucela te quiero”<\/em> fits naturally into the Red Moon Yard narrative. Musically it relies on American roots rock<\/strong>, with nods to the most recognizable Spanish pop rock – from Los Secretos<\/strong> to Fito y Fitipaldis<\/strong> or Leiva –<\/strong>but always filtered by a very personal sensibility. <\/p>\n\n

This balance between the earthly and the introspective is one of the hallmarks of the group, especially marked by the vital vision of Fermoselle, a follower of Buddhist philosophy for over 30 years<\/strong>. An influence that runs through much of his discography and also defines Intineri<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n

Intineri<\/em> and the inner itinerary<\/h3>\n\n

Recently released, Intineri<\/em> – a play on words between itinerary<\/em> and interior –<\/em>is a concept album that explores the inner journey of each individual. A work divided almost symbolically into two sides: <\/p>\n\n

  • Side A<\/strong>: more direct songs, with a rock pulse, with influences ranging from Peter Gabriel<\/strong> and Coldplay<\/strong> (“You and I”)<\/em>, to echoes of Supertramp<\/strong> or Pink Floyd<\/strong> (“Lama’s Song”)<\/em>, including references to Paul Simon<\/strong> and Van Morrison<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Side B<\/strong>: a more conceptual and experimental block, where tracks such as “After I Think”,<\/em> “Inner”, “<\/em> Hey Mo”<\/em> or “Lia’s Shout”<\/em> stand out ,<\/em> with a freer creativity and a strong spiritual charge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    The album closes with “Un mundo sin final”,<\/em> the band’s first song in Spanish<\/strong>, a turning point that marks a before and after in their career and that connects directly with the theme of reincarnation<\/strong>, the philosophical axis of the whole project.<\/p>\n\n
