Granada has always known how to name penumbra. And Bisagra<\/strong> -the duo formed by Gonzalo Jim\u00e9nez<\/strong> and Jordan Montero-<\/strong>proves it again with Tiempo muerto<\/em>, a third LP of twelve songs<\/strong> that not only expands their catalog, but crystallizes an ethic<\/strong> with total independence, absolute creative control and an unshakable faith in the physical power of sound. <\/h2>\n\n

Released on vinyl<\/strong> and built under the philosophy of do it yourself<\/strong>, the album goes decisively into shoegaze and dream-pop<\/strong> territories, without losing the rock pulse or the lysergic tradition of Granada. There are no shortcuts or concessions here: there is total work<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Twelve songs, a closed work<\/h3>\n\n

Since its origins in 2009, Bisagra has traveled the margins of the underground. In Tiempo muerto<\/em> they find their center of gravity<\/strong>: what before were promises of an identity on the run, now is creative maturity<\/strong>. The band takes on production, recording and mastering<\/strong>, shielding a sound of murky beauty where hypnotic guitars, enveloping synthesizers and layers of reverb support a lyric that observes the cracks of everyday life<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

This control extends to the visual plane. The cover -a collage of twelve snapshots<\/strong>, one per song- reinforces the idea of album-environment: Bisagra doesn’t publish songs, it designs immersions<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Advances that set the pulse<\/h3>\n\n

The album had already left its mark with “Patina o muere”, a<\/strong> proclamation against the inertia of adult routine, and “Ojos tristes”, a<\/strong> raw confession that balances energetic pop with reverberated abyss. To this emotional map is now added “La tentaci\u00f3n”,<\/strong> third single and videoclip<\/strong>, where the duo reaches an almost physical intensity. <\/p>\n\n

“I feel the steel inside me, a hundred thousand daggers inside me<\/em>“. The song is a free fall into repentance<\/strong>, the chronicle of the moment before surrendering to the forbidden, sustained by an elegant distortion and a restrained psychedelia that burns without overflowing. <\/p>\n\n

\n\n

Light and shade that remain<\/h3>\n\n

Throughout Tiempo muerto<\/em>, Bisagra maps fear, the passing of time and social inequalities<\/strong> without renouncing to melodies that stay. Introspection coexists with pop memory<\/strong>; electricity, with silence; the physical format, with an attentive listening that demands time. <\/p>\n\n

There is no rush for success or winks to the algorithm. There is a commitment to sonic truth<\/strong>, respect for vinyl and a continuity with the grenadine grammar of the twilight<\/strong>. In this suspended time, Bisagra proposes a surrender: when everything stops, music can still save us<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n
