As a first preview, Moby has shared an orchestral reinterpretation of ‘When It’s Cold I’d Like To Die’,<\/strong> now featuring vocals by Gabriels frontman Jacob Lusk<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n Originally released in 1995 as part of the album Everything Is Wrong<\/em>, ‘When It’s Cold I’d Like To Die’<\/em> had been one of the most beloved – and quietest – pieces in Moby’s catalog for years. Everything changed when the song was used in the first and fourth seasons of the Netflix series Stranger Things<\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n The scene turned the song into a viral phenomenon<\/strong>, skyrocketing its listeners to become the most played song of Moby’s entire career<\/strong>, in addition to generating a massive wave of uses on TikTok. Far from resisting this new context, Moby decided to reimagine it<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n The new version of ‘When It’s Cold I’d Like To Die’<\/em> replaces Mimi Goese’s original vocals with Jacob Lusk’s emotionally devastating<\/strong> rendition. Moby himself explained it bluntly: <\/p>\n\n “Like anyone who has heard Jacob sing, I immediately fell in love with his voice.
