Robyn has never understood pop as a surface exercise.And Sexistential<\/em>, her ninth studio album<\/strong>, confirms it from the title.<\/p>\n\n

The Swedish artist has announced that her new album will arrive on March 27<\/strong> via the Young label, marking her first full-length since Honey<\/em> (2018)<\/strong>. A long-awaited return that does not seek nostalgia or repetition, but a frontal exploration of desire, identity and sensuality as a vital engine.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

An album that turns desire into concept<\/h3>\n\n

The title Sexistential<\/em> is not a gratuitous play on words. Robyn poses it as an artistic and personal statement. <\/p>\n\n

“Exploring my sensual life gives me the same feeling as making a good song,” she has explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

In recent interviews, the singer has insisted that the album is not exclusively about sex, but about keeping the attraction to the world alive<\/strong>, an energy that runs through the body, creativity and emotion.<\/p>\n\n

That idea runs through the entire album, co-produced with his trusted collaborator Klas \u00c5hlund<\/strong>, a key figure in some of the most influential moments of his career.<\/p>\n\n

The announcement is accompanied by two new songs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

On the one hand, “Sexistential”,<\/strong> the title track of the album, which Robyn has defined -with her usual irony- as “possibly the world’s first rap about having one-night stands while ten weeks pregnant after an IVF process”.<\/em> A song that combines provocation, humor and vulnerability from a profoundly adult approach. <\/p>\n\n

On the other, “Talk To Me”,<\/strong> a luminous and direct single, co-written with Max Martin<\/strong>, in their first collaboration since 2010<\/strong>. The track was born during the pandemic and celebrates the erotic power of conversation, flirtation and imagination when physical contact is not possible. <\/p>\n\n
