There are songs that don’t just sound: they detonate.Subt\u00f3nica<\/strong>‘s new single, titled “Para creer que estamos muertos”,<\/em> doesn’t seek comfort or likes; it seeks to awaken. Javier Est\u00e9vez returns to the scene with a piece that sounds like a manifesto, a shake-up and a declaration of principles. The song arrived on Tuesday, October 21st,<\/strong> and already has a promotional trailer that anticipates its impact. <\/p>\n\n

Thinking remains an act of resistance<\/h2>\n\n

In times where calm is confused with anesthesia and uniformity is disguised as consensus, Estevez shoots an accurate dart: are we still alive or have we given up?His new single -advance of the album “Salvarnos”<\/em> that will be released on vinyl in 2026- is a protest against programmed comfort<\/strong>, a hymn to critical conscience and free thought.<\/p>\n\n

    The video, shot in C\u00f3rdoba<\/strong> and directed by Javier L\u00f3pez (3visual)<\/strong>, is conceived as a collective filmed therapy<\/strong>, where the spectator cannot remain passive.With the acting direction of Rafa de Vera<\/strong> and the participation of students of the Film and Culture Degree of the University of C\u00f3rdoba<\/strong>, the piece is the result of a collaboration with the Aula de Rock y Cultura Underground of the UCO<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

    Est\u00e9vez defines it as “a representation of our glories, miseries and desires under an astonished and abducted gaze”.The result: an uncomfortable mirror of today’s society, so real that it is hard to look at it head on.<\/p>\n\n

    From La Bola de Cristal<\/em> to the pot of power<\/h2>\n\n

    The single ironically quotes that mythical motto of La Bola de Cristal<\/em>: “If we all think alike, the panorama is really tragic”.<\/em>The lyrics play with powerful metaphors such as the simmering frog<\/strong>, symbol of a society that lets itself go to sleep while the heat rises.<\/p>\n\n

    “They push us, but just enough to keep us from falling; they push us away, but not so much that we get organized,” sings Est\u00e9vez.It is a poetic and political warning, a call to think for ourselves in the midst of the era of noise.<\/p>\n\n
