An album to prove that they are still a band on the move<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Mumford & Sons want to make it clear: they have not come to become a heritage of the past. With “Prizefighter”,<\/g> their sixth studio album<\/g>, the British band returns with a proposal that bets heavily on collaboration, sonic versatility and a message that could almost be a manifesto: we still have a lot to say<\/g>. The album will be released on February 13, 2026<\/strong> through Island Records. <\/p>\n\n

They do not do it alone. For this fight they have decided to surround themselves with first class allies: Hozier, Gracie Abrams and Chris Stapleton<\/g>, names that do not enter the same playlist without provoking curiosity. The production is in charge of Aaron Dessner<\/strong> (The National), at Long Pond Studios (New York)<\/strong>, a habitat where other reinventions have taken shape. <\/p>\n\n

A more open, more collaborative Mumford<\/h2>\n\n

If Prizefighter<\/em> proves anything, it’s that Mumford & Sons are no longer just looking in the mirror. Marcus Mumford puts it bluntly: <\/p>\n\n

“We feel we’re at our creative best… “Prizefighter” is serious and playful, sometimes bruised and always hopeful.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

It is a direct statement to skepticism. The band recognizes itself transformed, perhaps more mature, but with energy intact. And, above all, unafraid to share their ring with others. <\/p>\n\n

The first preview– “Rubber Band Man” with Hozier-<\/strong>already hints at this expanded sound, with more body and a vocal connection that works naturally.<\/p>\n\n

    Songs like Shadow Of A Man<\/em> or Conversation With My Son<\/em> point to an introspective theme, while The Banjo Song<\/em> promises to connect with roots that have never quite left.<\/p>\n\n

    A return that gives no respite<\/h2>\n\n

    Prizefighter<\/em> comes just seven months<\/strong> after RUSHMERE<\/em>, the album that broke a seven-year<\/strong> silence without releases.<\/p>\n\n

    This accelerated pace does not seem casual: the band assures that they are going through the most prolific stage<\/strong> of their recent career. And Marcus says it with enthusiasm: <\/p>\n\n

    “I’m more excited to be in this band than I’ve ever been.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

    Motivation also comes from live: their Railroad Revival Tour 2025<\/strong> in the U.S. – alongside names like Noah Kahan and Maggie Rogers – gave them back the community and road vibe. <\/p>\n\n
