Sixteen years<\/strong> have passed, but for more than 74,000 people<\/strong> gathered on the evening of July 4, 2025 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium<\/strong>, time seemed to freeze. Oasis were back<\/strong>. And not as a soulless version of their former glory, but as a sonic, emotional and generational rebirth<\/strong>. Liam and Noel Gallagher<\/strong>, once irreconcilable, took the stage hand in hand and delivered a show that marked not only the start of their Live ’25<\/em> tour, but an act of collective redemption for millions of fans<\/strong> around the world. <\/h2>\n\n

\ud83c\udfb8 From “Hello” to “Champagne Supernova”: hymns in the flesh<\/h3>\n\n

The concert started as a declaration of intentions with “Hello”,<\/strong> and from there unleashed an unstoppable chain of classics. They played songs that defined the nineties such as “Supersonic”,<\/strong> “Roll With It”,<\/strong> “Morning Glory”<\/strong> or “Whatever”,<\/strong> until closing with an apotheosis version of “Champagne Supernova”,<\/strong> accompanied by fireworks and fraternal hugs that no one imagined just a few years ago. <\/p>\n\n

“It’s good to be back,” Liam shouted before ripping into “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star,” prompting a standing ovation that lasted more than a minute.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

During the show, unpublished images of the band were projected and a tribute was paid to the soccer player Diogo Jota<\/strong>, who passed away the day before. The gesture deeply touched the audience. <\/p>\n\n

    The Live ’25<\/em> tour will tour the UK and Ireland through September, and will extend to America, Australia and Asia throughout 2025. Each concert will be filmed for a documentary directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace<\/strong>, and produced by Steven Knight<\/strong>, creator of Peaky Blinders<\/em>. A visual piece that stands as a testament to one of the most important comebacks in recent rock history. <\/p>\n\n

    \ud83d\udcc0 Oasis, between present and legacy<\/h3>\n\n

    As part of the celebrations, the band will reissue on October 3 the album that changed the course of their history: (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? <\/strong>The deluxe edition features acoustic takes and rarities including versions of “Cast No Shadow”,<\/strong> “Wonderwall”,<\/strong> and the fan-favorite B-side “Acquiesce”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

    Meanwhile, both Liam and Noel have put aside their public differences. In a terse but revealing joint statement released months ago, they wrote: <\/p>\n\n

    “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great comeback has arrived. It will not be televised. Come and see it.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

    What we saw in Cardiff was not just a concert. It was an act of collective redemption<\/strong>, a scar that became a tattoo<\/strong> for a generation that grew up with them, and for another that discovered them in the distance.
