Paul Weller, the eternal Modfather<\/em> of British rock, returns with a bang this July 25 with Find El Dorado<\/strong>, a cover album that transcends convention. With the stellar participation of Robert Plant<\/strong> (Led Zeppelin) and Noel Gallagher<\/strong> (Oasis), this new work is a love letter to the songs that have marked his life. <\/p>\n\n

\u201cThese are songs I’ve carried with me for years. They’ve taken on new forms over time. And now I felt it was time to share them,\u201d Weller declares.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

An emotional journey through reinvented classics<\/h3>\n\n

With a selection as eclectic as it is personal, Find El Dorado<\/em> includes reinterpretations of songs by Richie Havens<\/strong>, The Kinks<\/strong>, The Bee Gees<\/strong>, Christy Moore<\/strong> and The Flying Burrito Brothers<\/strong>, among others. Through these versions, Weller offers an intimate and modern reading of forgotten or little-known gems, transforming them with his unmistakable style. <\/p>\n\n

Luxury guests: Plant, Gallagher and more<\/h3>\n\n

The album shines even brighter thanks to its collaborators:<\/p>\n\n

  • Robert Plant<\/strong> participates in \u201cClive’s Song\u201d contributing vocals and harmonica.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Noel Gallagher<\/strong> adds acoustic guitars to \u201cEl Dorado\u201d, a song by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Eamon Friel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Also featured are Amelia Coburn<\/strong>, Seckou Keita<\/strong>, Declan O’Rourke<\/strong> and Hannah Peel<\/strong>, bringing unique textures to this collective production.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    The production was in charge of Steve Cradock<\/strong>, Ocean Colour Scene guitarist and regular collaborator of Weller, who manages to cohere a proposal diverse in sound but unified in soul.<\/p>\n\n

      Weller, always reinventing himself<\/h3>\n\n

      Find El Dorado<\/em> is Paul Weller’s first covers album since Studio 150<\/em> (2004). But unlike its predecessor, this project feels more introspective, more rooted in his life experience than in his eagerness to reinterpret hits. <\/p>\n\n

      With more than four decades of career, Weller continues to prove that he is a restless, honest and deeply connected to the music that formed him.<\/p>\n\n
