The Cure’<\/em> s comeback continues to surprise. Less than a year after the acclaimed Songs of a Lost World<\/em>, the band led by Robert Smith<\/strong> has confirmed the release of a new album entitled Mixes of a Lost World<\/strong><\/em>a total reinterpretation of their last album, this time with the signature of 24 heavyweight artists in the electronic, alternative and experimental scene. <\/p>\n\n

The release is scheduled for June 13, 2025<\/strong> and LoffMusic brings it to you in advance.<\/p>\n\n

\ud83d\udd0a The sound of The Cure in a different light<\/h4>\n\n

Among the collaborators are names that mark generations: Four Tet<\/strong>, Paul Oakenfold<\/strong>, Chino Moreno (Deftones)<\/strong>, Mogwai<\/strong>, Orbital<\/strong>, Mura Masa<\/strong>, Shanti Celeste<\/strong>, Trentem\u00f8ller<\/strong> and Daniel Avery<\/strong>, among others. Each has taken one of the eight songs from the original album and transformed it into something completely new: ethereal, cinematic, visceral or straight-up danceable. <\/p>\n\n

Two of these pieces are now available for listening:<\/p>\n\n

  • “Alone”<\/strong> remixed by Four Tet<\/em>, with minimalist textures and an almost hypnotic pulse.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • “I Can Never Say Goodbye”<\/strong> reinterpreted by Paul Oakenfold<\/em>, in a version charged with drama and cinematic atmosphere.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    \ud83c\udf0d A project with purpose<\/h4>\n\n

    Beyond the musical aspect, this release has a fundamental social component. All royalties from the album will be donated to War Child UK<\/strong>, an organization that works with children affected by war. In the words of Robert Smith: <\/p>\n\n

    “After Christmas I got some unsolicited remixes of Songs of a Lost World<\/em> and I loved them. I wanted to know what the whole album would sound like through other minds. The result has been an unexpected, magical sonic journey. Donating the proceeds makes it even more special.” <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

    The album will be released in multiple formats, including:<\/p>\n\n

    • Deluxe edition (3LP \/ 3CD)<\/strong> with additional versions, rarities and bonus artists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Limited edition cassette<\/strong>, only available at The Cure’s official store.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

      Each edition will come with exclusive artwork and production details that make it a must-have for collectors.<\/p>\n\n
