Cantares de Arcilla<\/strong>, the second album by Kike M<\/strong>, continues to leave its mark on the new Urban Root Rock<\/strong> scene. With the production of the unmistakable I\u00f1aki “Uoho” Ant\u00f3n<\/strong> (Platero y T\u00fa, Extremoduro, Fito & Fitipaldis), the album has given us moments of authentic electric poetry. Now, Kike M joins forces with the always inspiring Jairo Zavala (Depedro)<\/strong> to offer us “Cig\u00fce\u00f1as”,<\/strong> a piece that encapsulates the nomadic soul and the roots of his origins. <\/p>\n\n

“Storks”: A song to the land and to memory.<\/h3>\n\n

From the first chords, “Cig\u00fce\u00f1as”<\/strong> transports the listener to a deep Salamanca, of reddish fields and wandering storks. The song, with its delicate balance between folk and rock<\/strong>, is an evocation of the atavistic, of the belonging to a landscape that chisels the identity. Kike M and Depedro intertwine their voices in perfect harmony, leading the listener down paths where nostalgia and epic shake hands. <\/p>\n\n

The instrumentation is reminiscent of the best Fito Cabrales<\/strong>, with arpeggios that are also from the school of C\u00e1novas, Rodrigo, Adolfo and Guzm\u00e1n<\/strong>. It all leads to a powerful chorus, a hymn to Rock con Ra\u00edces<\/strong> that, without fanfare, demonstrates that authenticity needs no artifice. <\/p>\n\n
