Jamie xx <\/strong>‘s highly anticipated album is now a reality. On Tuesday, June 4, the British producer announced that his second studio album, “In Waves,”<\/strong> will be released through his own Young label<\/strong> on September 20.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The 12-track album will follow Jamie xx’s debut solo album, “In Colour,”<\/strong> released in May 2015 to critical acclaim. Containing classics like the Young Thug and Popcaan collaboration “I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)” and “Loud Places” with The xx bandmate Romy, the album spent five weeks on the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 21 in June 2015.<\/p>\n\n

The album announcement comes with a new single, “Treat Each Other Right.”<\/strong> This vibrant dance floor track comes with a music video directed by Rosie Marks<\/em>. This is the second single from “In Waves”, following “Baddy on the Floor”<\/strong> with Honey Dijon released in May.<\/p>\n\n

Jamie xx shared on Instagram on Tuesday the truly immersive album cover and wrote: “My new album, ‘In Waves,’ is coming out on September 20. <\/strong>I’m incredibly happy. It’s been a while… and a lot has happened in that time. Ups and downs, growth, discovering things and then forgetting it all many times. Life-changing events and world-changing events. These waves we have all experienced together and alone.<\/p>\n\n

“I wanted to do something fun, upbeat and introspective at the same time. The best moments on a dance floor are usually that for me. I can’t wait to share it with you.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

To that end, the producer’s summer and fall touring schedule includes performances at festivals such as Glastonbury, Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, HARD Summer in Los Angeles, Portola in San Francisco and III Points in Miami.<\/p>\n\n
